Nigel qualified as a Quantity Surveyor in 1982. He became a director in Davis Langdon in South Africa in 1994.

He has managed key offices and project teams and worked for a broad range of public and private sector clients in South Africa His project expertise covers a broad spectrum ranging from Civil, Mechanical and Marine Engineering projects to a wide diversity of building projects incorporating roles of Principal Agent and Project Manager.

Nigel has specialised in contractual issues and is often called upon to act as a Mediator or Arbitrator in construction disputes or to assist legal teams in the provision of expert testimony.

In addition, Nigel has consulted extensively in the realm of insurance reinstatement projects and construction liquidation.
