Salaries:
Our salaries are amongst the highest in the industry. As a graduate you will start on £20,000 - £25,000 depending upon your experience, skills and location. Your salary is reviewed every January.
Who we look for:
We recruit graduates from a variety of disciplines including those not related to the construction industry. What is essential is that you are able to take on board and analyse information, work with numbers, and most of all be able to work with others and get your message across.
We support graduates to become qualified by a relevant professional body. In the majority of cases this is to become a chartered surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), but we also support people who wish to qualify through the Association of Project Management (APM) and Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
What if I have not studied a related degree?
We would still like to hear from you. Over a third of last year’s graduate intake had in fact studied unrelated degree subjects, such as geography, economics, architecture, maths or finance. As a graduate joining us with an unrelated degree (a non-cognate), we will support your studies on a Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Cost Management or Project Management. You will also attend the Graduate Development Programme and receive on-the-job training and coaching in the office. These will provide you with the relevant knowledge and skills to become a chartered surveyor or project manager.
In many cases we find that graduates following this route are able to become a chartered surveyor or project manager in the same timeframe as a graduate who has studied a related degree.
