Mark has over 25 years’ experience in the international construction and project management business.
He commenced his career in the construction industry as a Management Trainee with John Laing Construction Ltd from 1979-1984 before moving to London to work on a major mixed-use development in Kingston-upon-Thames with YJ Lovell Construction.
Mark commenced his international career in 1986 working with the General Electric Company (GEC) on the construction of the new international airport in Colombo, Sri Lanka and subsequently worked on major building and civil engineering projects in Bahamas, Egypt and the Caribbean for GEC and Balfour Beatty
In 1994 Mark joined Bovis Lend Lease International in Russia in 1994 as a Project Manager and was subsequently been involved in senior operational roles in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Turkey and South Africa before moving to Dubai in 2003 as the Middle East Regional Director
In 2006 Mark was promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer with responsibility for the Lend Lease Group’s project management, construction operations and PPP portfolio in Continental Europe, Middle East & Africa (CEMEA) which encompassed more than 20 countries. In 2008 Mark’s geographic responsibilities were extended to include the Groups operations in Latin America including Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Mexico and the Caribbean.
In June 2011 Mark joined AECOM as SVP Construction Services and Regional President Middle East for Tishman Construction Corporation with a brief to develop a project and construction management delivery capability across the region to deepen the existing service offering.
In November 2011 Marks role was expanded to take dual responsibility for both Construction Services in the Middle East creating to create a truly collaborative approach between the two business lines.
