Stuart is a Charted Quantity Surveyor and a qualified Project Manager.  Stuart worked in the NHS for 18 years as a Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager with responsibility for managing an “in house” team and in a client role including the appointment of external consultants for a large proportion of the East Anglia Regional Health Authority’s capital programme.  In 1990 Stuart and his team from the NHS joined Davis Langdon.  Stuart became a Partner in the Cambridge office and continued to specialise in the health sector.

Stuart has 36 years of experience of working on a wide range of NHS schemes providing cost management, project management and facilities management consultancy.  He has been involved in innovative methods of procuring health buildings (e.g. Batching on PFI, Fast Track procurement, Property Lease) and has considerable experience of SOCs, OBCs and FBCs and experience of cost advisor to PSCPs and to NHS Trusts on P21 projects.  He has advised Trusts on over £4.5 billion of health PFI projects.
