This project was no ordinary undertaking. Eden’s purpose was to promote the understanding and responsible management of the vital relationships between plants, people and resources, providing a sustainable future for all.

Embracing this innovative purpose, and its inherent values and objectives, was central to Davis Langdon’s capacity to deliver.

Our project management involvement with this scientific institution and visitor attraction began during its earliest inception. Through a value-focused, open and collaborative approach, we created the optimum conditions for the team to build shared understanding and objectives. Lateral thinking created unique solutions on an £86 million project where there were few precedents to work with. Identifying and managing all the elements that could jeopardise success was crucial to the outcome, exercising all our skills and ingenuity.

Millions have now felt the pull of Eden, drawn by its astonishing, visionary ambition. This was an extraordinary appointment. We gave our absolute commitment, both individually and collectively as a practice, to ensure that this intoxicating idea was transformed into reality.
