To service nearly 3,000,000ft² of commercial development spread across a number of development plots, the purpose of the infrastructure project was to provide a co-ordinated utility services solution.
Davis Langdon Mott Green Wall were appointed as cost consultant in 1998.
The project included the construction of a new primary substation for adoption by the host utility company along with a two level tunnel for sub surface vehicular access and utility services distribution.
By use of the deregulated utilities market, contestable utility works were procured, installed and commissioned by independent contracting organisations with the assets ultimately adopted by the incumbent utilities.
This provided logistical, economical and commercial benefits to the development.
