The challenge

Carbon Management is a Carbon Trust programme launched in 2003 to help organisations across all industry sectors respond to challenges presented by climate change.

Carbon Management was designed to assist companies identify and reduce their carbon emissions and to help them decrease their energy spend.

Davis Langdon Management Consulting (DLMC) was appointed to deliver programme management support to help develop and establish Carbon Management as a permanent product in the Carbon Trust’s portfolio.

The result

Our role covers:

• Business development and marketing (liaison with Carbon Trust networks and key stakeholders to help develop and pursue customer leads)
• Procurement (procurement of consulting services and creation of framework agreements with customers)
• Management, reporting and general administration (quality management; monitor progress; manage customer review processes; report on budgets; spending and forecasts; co-ordinate presentations and meeting schedules)
• Learning and knowledge management: (management of information library for identification/evaluation of new customers; development and management of presentation portfolios; development  of process for knowledge capture; capture and dissemination of knowledge and feedback on an ongoing basis)
