We have specialist expertise and data relating to all the major market sectors, enabling us to assemble teams with the right experience for each project.

The complex technology of building services systems makes it difficult to assess a complete - or incomplete - design and price it, unless the cost consultant is also an engineer who understands such systems.

As building technology becomes more sophisticated and the need for sustainability ever more pressing, our skill in dealing with the often fragmented process for the production of engineering services designs becomes all the more pertinent.

One third of our staff are engineers; others have a contracting background or are trained quantity surveyors. Our teams are also refreshed by new members trained though our Academy.

Important components of our service are early cost modelling - before designs have been developed - and benchmarking advice on design, cost and quality, supported by our extensive database. Our presence provides pro-active cost checking and control through the procurement and construction and occupation stages.

Our cost plans are also written in a way that engineers understand, following the design from one end of the system to the other – making it possible to review the design and cost plan holistically and understand all the implications if changes are introduced.
