Expert Witness

Conflict issues and availability are given careful consideration before the recommendation of any individual to a client.

The partners and senior staff within the Legal Support Group are experienced in the formulation of reports and in giving evidence.

In this context our legal duty is to the Tribunal - in this regard, any Tribunal needs to rely on the professional judgment of the witness about the nature and true costs of events or failures. This is the classic separation between the objectivity of the witness and the advocacy of the lawyer.

To maintain both objectivity in the face of great pressure to adopt a position and also the capacity to defend one’s evidence and judgment under fierce cross-examination, is perhaps the ultimate test of integrity in our profession.

In addition to supporting the legal process as expert witnesses, we are also involved with various other types of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Pre-Action Protocol work.
