The U.S. Department of State has announced KieranTimberlake of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as the winner of the competition to design the new U.S. high-security embassy in London.

Davis Langdon will provide cost consulting services to KieranTimberlake for the new 500,000 SF building that will be located in Nine Elms, Wandsworth. Expected to be one of the most expensive U.S. diplomatic buildings in the world, the building will be one of the greenest with an exterior lined with energy-absorbing materials, and a roof covered with solar panels.

The anticipated ground breaking on this landmark embassy will be in 2013 with a goal to complete the construction in 2017.
