Benchmarking and Target Costing are key to successful cost planning. The benchmarking process looks at both the cost and the control quantities of buildings to develop historic models. Target costing develops cost plans or models to help project teams plan and design within set budgets.

Davis Langdon has developed a comprehensive knowledge base covering over 1,500 projects, collecting detailed cost and quantity data to facilitate benchmarking.
