The wellbeing of our people is the foundation for the wellbeing of our business. This symbiotic relationship between individual and organisational success is at the heart of our business model.
Davis Langdon takes a holistic view of its role as an employer. Coming to work is about living, not just earning a living; it is about developing the skills and capabilities to build a career; gaining the satisfaction of delivering high quality output and playing a part in great building projects; sharing our cultural values, enjoying comradeship and having some fun – as well as being well rewarded for your contribution.
One thing that is having a profound and growing impact on our corporate and individual lives is the learning culture at Davis Langdon. This is about creating an environment where people at all levels continually increase their capacity to produce results they really care about.
Our learning culture is not just about technical training, CPD and personal development plans, it is equally about personal growth, soft skills and leadership. These personal skills are at the heart of our Leadership Development Programme, which recognises that leadership occurs at all levels of the firm. This is a bespoke programme, designed and primarily delivered by Davis Langdon people, with follow-through meetings involving line managers and mentors.
There are many other aspects to our commitment to staff wellbeing. Our remuneration policies are equitable and generous, with no partner owning more than 2% of equity, and 20% of profits distributed as bonuses to our people. We also have a helpline for staff and their immediate families, a Bike to Work scheme, health cover and a health advisor, among other benefits.
We believe that continuous investment in our culture and our people – so that they are secure, valued and rewarded - is critical to our ongoing success.
